No. 20 Pitt Drops First Game of the Season 1-0 to No. 6 TCU

PITTSBURGH — No. 20 Pitt women's soccer's (5-1-0) dropped its first game of the season 1-0 to No. 6 TCU (5-0-0) Sunday afternoon at Ambrose Urbanic Field.
TCU notched the lone goal in the 46th minute, forcing a turnover in the Panthers' end and finishing a cross into the middle of the box.
Pitt continues a three-game homestand next Thursday at 7 p.m. against St. Francis.

- Katherine Robinson made a season-high seven saves.
- TCU finished with the advantage in shots (20-14), shots on goals (8-5) and corner kicks (8-3).
- Pitt played TCU even in the first half as both teams had eight shots and three corner kicks in the first 45 minutes.
- Sarah Schupansky had a team-high four shots, and Ellie Coffield placed all three of her shots on goal, a game-high.
- Landy Mertz and Chloe Minas each put one of two shots on goal.
