Pitt Named United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award Recipient

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Pitt women's soccer earned the Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches for the second-straight year, the organization announced Friday. The honor is given out to recognize exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2020-21 academic year.
College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2020-21 academic year. The Panthers earned a 3.50 team GPA last year, an increase from 3.35 in the 2019-20 season.
A total of 602 college teams (220 men, 382 women) earned the Team Academic Award. Pitt was one of 90 schools who had both their men's and women's programs recognized.
Pitt ends its three-game road trip to open ACC play against Miami Sunday at 3 p.m., which is slated for an ACC Network broadcast.
