Panthers Drop Series Finale to NC State

RALEIGH, N.C. – The University of Pittsburgh softball team fell, 4-0, Sunday evening at Dail Softball Stadium.
NC State (21-11, 14-11 ACC) scored its first run of the game in the bottom of the second, as Madeline Curtis hit a solo home run to center (1-0). The Wolfpack scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth off of two home runs, taking a 4-0 lead.
Pitt (10-25, 5-20 ACC) finished with three hits on the day compared to NC State's five. Senior Morgan Batesole, senior LoLo Sanchez and sophomore EC Taylor each tallied a hit.
The Panthers are back in action Friday, April 16 at home against North Carolina for the first of four games. Game time is set for 5 p.m. on the ACCNX.
