Pitt Gymnasts Earn All-Conference Honors
PITTSBURGH – Five gymnasts from the University of Pittsburgh have earned all-conference honors from the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL), as announced Monday.
Lauren Beckwith, Katie Chamberlain, Katrina Coca, Emily Liszewski and Olivia Miller each received recognition for their performances in 2021.
Beckwith, Chamberlain, Coca and Liszewski are all first-time All-EAGL awardees in 2021. Miller earned recognition for floor exercise and all-around for the second time in her career, after receiving all-around accolades as a freshman (2019) and floor honors as a sophomore (2020).
The honors are awarded based on National Qualifying Scores (NQS), with the conference's top eight gymnasts (including ties) from the 10-week regular season comprising the All-EAGL First Team, and the ninth through 16th-ranked gymnasts (including ties) earning All-EAGL Second Team honors on each of the five events: vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and all-around.
Below is a complete list of Pitt's 2021 All-EAGL honorees, with their respective NQS:
Lauren Beckwith
Katie Chamberlain
Katrina Coca
Emily Liszewski
Olivia Miller
A native of Westerville, Ohio, Beckwith owns Pitt's top balance beam score of the 2021 season, recording a career-best 9.875 in the Panthers' last meeting with West Virginia (March 14). The sophomore ranks in the EAGL Top 10 on both beam and all-around. She has earned four individual titles this season while leading the team with three crowns on beam. Beckwith posted a career high of 39.000 in the all-around at the Panthers' home finale against West Virginia (March 12).

Competing for the first time since the first meet of her freshman season in 2019, Chamberlain's triumphant return to the Pitt lineups includes a Top-5 ranking in the EAGL on uneven bars. The junior is tied for the team-best score of the season in the event with a career-best 9.900, which she earned in just her second meet back, against No. 23 Kent State (Jan. 24). Her 9.900 on bars ties for eighth place all-time in the Pitt record book. The Simi Valley, Calif., native recorded back-to-back individual bars titles of the season, and has earned career-best scores in all three of her events this season (vault, bars, beam).

Making her first appearance in competition since 2018 after recovering from multiple injuries, Coca made a splash with her return the competition floor in 2021, earning a second place ranking in the conference on bars. To begin her final season, Coca was named EAGL Co-Specialist of the Week for her return against NC State (Jan. 19). Along with Chamberlain and Miller, Coca earned a team-best and career-best 9.900 on bars, recorded in a quad meet at Towson (Feb. 19). Her 9.900 on bars ties for eighth place all-time in the Pitt record book. The Stillwater, Okla., native leads Pitt with five individual event titles: four coming on bars and one on beam. Currently, Coca is competing as an all-arounder for the first time in her six years as a collegiate gymnast, most recently earning a career-best score of 39.150 against West Virginia (March 12).

Liszweski, a sophomore, owns Pitt's top score on vault with a career-best 9.875 recorded against West Virginia (March 5). She is one of just two Panthers to earn an individual title in the event this season. The La Verne, Calif., native has surpassed her rookie season by recording career-highs on both vault and floor exercise during her sophomore campaign.

Miller, a Monroeville, Pa., native, is the lone repeat recipient of All-EAGL honors in 2021, earning first team honors in the all-around as a freshman (2019) and second team honors on floor as a sophomore (2020). The junior ranks as a Top 5 all-around in the league. Miller owns the team's top scores of 2021 in both the all-around (39.250) and bars (9.900), both marking career highs for the junior. Miller's pinnacle all-around score of 39.250 is the highest for Pitt since Haley Brechwald at the 2018 EAGL Championship (39.325). Miller also added a career-best tally of 9.825 on balance beam in the most recent meet against West Virginia (March 14). She leads the Panthers with three all-around titles this season, in addition to one on bars.
