
Panthers Fly South For Regular Season Finale At Georgia Tech Sunday

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt women's basketball team (5-12, 3-11 ACC) closes out their regular season on Sunday afternoon on the road against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Sunday's game will tip at 2:00 pm on the ACC Network with Jenn Hildreth and Kelly Gramlich on the call.

- Sunday's meeting will be the 10th between the two programs all-time with Georgia Tech owning the 6-3 edge in the series.
- The Yellow Jackets and Panthers are tied, 2-2, in games being played in Atlanta.
- Georgia Tech has won three straight in the all-time series including a pair of victories over Pitt last season. The Yellow Jackets ended the Panthers' season last year in the second round of the ACC Tournament.
- The Pitt offense struggled as they missed the services of starting point guard Dayshanette Harris and shooting guard Gabbie Green. Without the two starters, the Panthers were overmatched against #2 NC State as they fell 83-53 on the road.
- Freshman point guard Sandrine Clesca was a bright spot for Pitt as she earned her first career start and produced 12 points, three rebounds, two steals, an assist and a block in 33 minutes of work.
- Emy Hayford made her second straight start and posted seven points, four rebounds and two assists while Jayla Everett netted seven points, three rebounds and two blocks in the loss.
- As a team, the Panthers shot 39.6% from the floor while the Wolfpack connected on 45.9% of their attempts.
- Junior guard Jayla Everett has led the Panthers offensively all season long and currently ranks 13th in the ACC in scoring (14.5 ppg). She also ranks 5th in the ACC in three-pointers made/game (2.8) while connecting on a team-high 46 triples.
- A bright spot for the Panthers so far this season has been their rebounding. The Panthers currently rank 10th among Power 5 programs in total rebounds/game (41.5 rpg). Pitt also ranks 15th in the NCAA and 4th among Power 5 teams (South Carolina, Baylor, UCLA) in offensive rebounds/game (16.1 orpg).
- Pitt will close out their regular season on the road Sunday as they take on Georgia Tech at 2pm on ACC Network.
- The Pitt offense has posted two ACC games with 80+ points scored, tied for the most in a season in program history. The Panthers are averaging 64.8 ppg in ACC play, their highest points/game total through 14 ACC games in program history.
- Freshman Sandrine Clesca earned her first career start at point on Thursday at #2 NC State and she produced the best game of her career as she netted a team-high 12 points, three rebounds and two steals in a career-high 33 minutes.

- Clesca made her first career start on Thursday night at #2 NC State and she made it count. She finished with a career-high 33 minutes, 12 points, three rebounds and two steals while going 5-for-9 from the floor.
- The Quebec, Canada native has appeared in nine games this season including in four straight.
- Over her last two games, she is averaging 25.0 minutes, 8.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals.
- The Panthers will now prepare for the ACC Tournament which will begin on Wednesday, Mar. 3 with the first round game. Pitt earned the #12 seed and will play host to the #13 seed Boston College at 2:00 pm on RSN (AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh locally) from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC.
