Pitt Take Series Over Indiana State with 10-1 Win
2/21/2021 5:55:00 PM | Baseball
"I thought we did a great job of putting ourselves in hitter's counts by laying off pitches out of the zone early in the count today," said head coach Mike Bell. "This allowed us to create some big innings with quality at-bats by handing it to the next guy and attacking pitches in the zone with runners in scoring position."
The Panther scored the game's first run in the third inning. After Nico Popa reached base on a throwing error by the third baseman, Hess knocked him in on a double to left field.

David Yanni was hit by a pitch for an RBI, and the final run came on an RBI-single to right field by Hulett.
In the following inning, the Panthers added two more runs. Ramon Padilla led off with a single to third base. With two outs, Sky Duff walked. After wild pitches advanced both, they scored on a single through the left side by Hess.
