Pitt Topped by No. 5 North Carolina from Late Goal

PITTSBURGH — Pitt women's soccer's (8-5-0, 1-4-0) fell 1-0 to No. 5 North Carolina (9-1-2, 2-1-2) Thursday night at Ambrose Urbanic Field.
The Tar Heels won on a header from a corner kick in the in 81st minute. Chloe Minas was at the goal line and appeared to make a save with her body. The play was ruled a goal on the field by the linesman, and the officials didn't find conclusive evidence to overturn it.
Pitt returns to action against another top-five ranked ACC opponent Sunday at 2 p.m. at No. 4 Duke.
