Eleven Pitt Gymnasts Named WCGA Academic All-Americans

Panthers Honored for Work in the Classroom
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Eleven student-athletes from the 2020 University of Pittsburgh gymnastics team have been named Academic All-Americans by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA), as announced Wednesday.
Two Pitt gymnasts became four-time WCGA Academic All-Americans: recent graduates Rachel Dugan and Alecia Petrikis. Dugan and Petrikis each received bachelor's degrees in human resources management in the spring of 2020, earning 3.82 and 3.53 cumulative GPAs, respectively.
To be eligible for the honor, gymnasts must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher for the 2019-20 academic year. As a team, the Panthers earned a 3.499 GPA for the year.
