Honorees Maintained 3.0 GPA for 2019 Calendar Year
PITTSBURGH – The East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) announced Monday that all 16 eligible student-athletes from the University of Pittsburgh have been named members of the league's All-Academic Team for the 2019 calendar year.
The team features 90 student-athletes from the EAGL's six member schools. One hundred percent of Pitt's 16 eligible student-athletes from the 2019 school year earned the honor, with freshmen eligible with Fall 2019 semester grades only. Pitt's 16 honorees are the second most of any school, behind George Washington's 17.
To be honored as a All-Academic Team member, a gymnast must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above after the 2019 calendar year GPA is factored in. Freshmen are eligible with Fall 2019 semester grades only.
Three Panthers earned their fourth consecutive nod to the All-Academic Team: seniors Rachel Dugan, Deven Herbine and Alecia Petrikis.
