
Panthers Earn Three Titles Against Wolfpack

Pitt Gymnastics Posts No. 2 Score of 2020
PITTSBURGH – For the second consecutive meet, Pitt gymnastics (3-4, 1-3 EAGL) scored above 195 to record its second-highest total of the season, posting a 195.350 in a dual meet against NC State (4-3, 3-1 EAGL).
The Wolfpack earned the team win, 196.025-195.350.
Three senior Panthers earned individual titles, with Alecia Petrikis and Deven Herbine posting career-best scores of 9.875 on vault, and Michaela Burton with a 9.850 on bars. Burton's win was her fourth on bars this season.
VAULT
Herbine and Petrikis shared the vault title, each earning a career-best 9.875. Junior Jordan Ceccarini followed with a season high-tying 9.700 to place fifth, along with freshman Ciara Ward with the same score. Pitt totaled a 48.775 for the first rotation.
BARS
Burton picked up her fourth bars title of the season, tying her season-best score of 9.850. She has earned the win on bars in all but one of Pitt's five meets this year. Freshman Christina Weiss was next in line for the Panthers with a 9.750, placing fifth. Through two events, Pitt totaled 97.525, posting a 48.750 on bars.
BEAM
Burton reached the podium on beam, placing third at 9.875. Sophomore Kiley Robatin followed in fourth with a season-best 9.825, and freshman Emily Liszewski earned the best beam score of her young career with a 9.725. In total, Pitt earned a team score of 48.850 for the event to reach 146.375 through three rotations.
FLOOR
Burton was runner-up on floor with a career high-tying 9.875. Sophomore Olivia Miller followed with a 9.800. Herbine and Petrikis each posted 9.775, with the score marking a career-high for Herbine. Robatin recorded a season-best for the event at 9.750. in total. Pitt secured a 195.350, marking its second consecutive meet at 195.000 or higher, and its second-highest overall score of the season.
