NEWS AND NOTES
HEAD COACH MIKE BELL'S TAKE
"I thought the key to game was the ability to string together some quality at bats in the sixth inning," said Pitt head coach Mike Bell. "We put the pressure on their bullpen, making them make pitches instead of us chasing out of the zone. Popa's nine-pitch walk with the bases loaded and two outs set the whole inning and allowed Yanni, Washington and Hess to put the stamp on it. It was great to see the big inning."
