CLEMSON, S.C. – Pitt women's soccer (9-4-0, 3-4-0) fell 2-1 in overtime to No. 3 Clemson (6-2-0, 5-2-0) Thursday night at Historic Riggs Field. Megan Bornkamp headed in the golden goal off a corner kick in the 92nd minute.

Scoring the game's first goal in the 49th minute, Amanda West broke the program's record for single-season points with 30, topping her own 29 points in her freshman campaign last year. West received a long pass down the left side of the field, made a move to get past a defender in the box and placed a shot that bounced off the right post and in.

Clemson quickly tied up the game in the 51st minute, as Bornkamp followed up on a rebound from a corner kick and headed the ball in the back of the net.

NEWS AND NOTES

West tied Ashley Cuba (2009-12) for the most career goals (23) in school history.
West extended her single-season record for goals to 13.
The team has scored 30 goals this year, surpassing the 2006 team for second-most in a single-season in school history.
Caitlyn Lazzarini made a career-high nine saves, including six in the second half.
The Tigers had the advantage in shots (23-8) and corner kicks (11-4).
West and Leah Pais both placed two of a team-high three shots on goal.
Madison Clayton made her first collegiate start.
