Game Storylines
• Following an opening month of home games at Heinz Field, Pitt plays its second consecutive road contest when it faces nationally ranked Miami at Hard Rock Stadium. The Hurricanes are ranked 12th in the USA Today Coaches Poll and 13th by Associated Press.
• Pitt is coming off a pair of one-point losses, most recently at Boston College in overtime (31-30). The Hurricanes suffered their first defeat of the season with a 42-17 setback at top-ranked Clemson.
• Sixteen players on Pitt's roster are Florida natives, second only to the Panthers' 35 players who hail from Pennsylvania.
• Since 2015, Pat Narduzzi has directed Pitt to 26 victories in ACC play, the third-highest win total (tied with Virginia Tech) during that span. The Panthers trail only Clemson (41) and Miami (27).
