Anna Rico scored the game's first goal in the 17th minute on a free kick from deep in the midfield, tucking the shot into the top left corner of the net.
West's first score in the 27th minute, assisted by Emily Yaple and Chantelle Parker, proved to be her fourth game-winning goal of the season.
Leah Pais added a third goal in the first half and her fourth of the season, heading in a cross off a free kick by Kate McKay in the 39th minute.
Pitt continues its four-game homestand Thursday at 6 p.m. against No. 2 Florida State on the ACC Network.
