Game Storylines
• Conference play begins in earnest for Pitt with this Saturday's Coastal Division clash at Duke.

• The Panthers' trip to Durham marks the first of seven consecutive ACC games to close the regular season.

• Pitt is looking to gain traction in the Coastal race with its first ACC win. Duke is 1-0 in ACC play following a 45-10 victory at Virginia Tech last week.

• Since joining the ACC in 2013, the Panthers have opened conference play with an 0-2 mark only once (2017). Pitt won its first Coastal Division championship last season with a 6-2 ACC record.

• Over his initial four years as Pitt's head coach (2015-18), Pat Narduzzi led the Panthers to the third-best record in ACC play with a 20-12 mark. Only Clemson (30-2) and Miami (21-11) achieved better ACC records during that span.

• Since 2013, the Panthers own a 5-1 series advantage over Duke in ACC play. (Pitt leads the overall series, 14-9.) Four of the six ACC games have been decided by single digits, including each of the last two encounters.

• The Blue Devils' last win in the series occurred in 2014, a 51- 48 double-overtime decision at Heinz Field that came despite a 263-yard rushing day by the Panthers' James Conner.

• The Panthers lead the ACC and rank second in the nation with 24 quarterback sacks (4.80 per game). Sophomore defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman leads Pitt's pass rush with an ACC-best six sacks.

• The Panthers boast the most productive pass-catching duo in the country. Senior Maurice Ffrench (40) and junior Taysir Mack (32) have combined for 72 receptions this season, the most of any Football Bowl Subdivision receiving duo.
