Q&A
What made you choose Pitt?
I wanted to play for a Power 5 school.
What are your biggest strengths as a player?
My toughness on the field.
What is your (intended) major?
Exercise Science
What are three words that describe you?
Serious, determined, honest
What are your hobbies and interests outside of softball?
Hunting and riding mules and horses with my family.
Do you have any pre-game rituals or superstitions?
Yes
What are some of the differences between your hometown and Pittsburgh?
The wind here is not as strong as the wind at home. In Pittsburgh I am surrounded by buildings and at home I am surrounded by corn.
If you could bring one thing from your hometown to Pittsburgh, what would it be?
Roads that run directly north, south, east and west.
What is the best advice you've ever been given?
Never give in.
If you could meet three people (past or present) who would you want to meet? Why?
Tommy Lee Jones, because he plays my favorite character in my favorite movie. My great-grandpa Sam, because my family has always talked about him and how he was such an amazing person. Finally, even though he is not a person, I would want to meet Secretariat because I would love to be able to be around the horse that is considered the greatest athlete of all time.
If you could be a star in any sport, other than softball, which one would it be?
Volleyball
Who had the greatest impact on your life? Why?
My parents and my siblings have had the greatest impact on my life. My parents pushed me to be the best I could be every day. My brother, sister and I have always done everything together. Whether we are practicing, doing chores or just having fun together, they make everything an adventure. I would not be going to this school or playing on this team if it wasn't for my family's constant support.
What's one fun fact about you?
I enjoy going on walks down the creeks at home with my dogs and my family.
