Panthers to Host Four Meets at Fitzgerald Field House
PITTSBURGH – Pitt gymnastics has announced promotions for its four home meets at Fitzgerald Field House in 2019.
In addition to single-meet themes, the Panthers will offer season-long promotions in which fans can enter to win prizes including a Pitt gear pack, early entry to the Pitt men's basketball game against Duke (Jan. 22) and a trip to the Panthers' road meet at West Virginia (Feb. 17).
The Panthers' home against Utah State, West Virginia and Eastern Michigan will be Social Media Day opener (Jan. 12). The first 250 fans in attendance will receive sling grips for cell phones, and the Panthers will sign post-meet autographs.
For Pitt's dual meet against George Washington (Jan. 26), the Panthers will promote Autism Awareness. The first 200 children in attendance will receive blue light-up LED wands.
Pitt will welcome alumni back to Fitzgerald Field House for a tri-meet against North Carolina and Temple (Feb. 1). The Panthers will wear Pitt Retro leotards, and the first 200 fans in attendance will receive Retro rally towels. There will be an autograph session with the gymnasts following the meet.
To close out the home schedule, the Panthers will honor Lucy Brett, Krista Collins, Charli Spivey and Brittany West for Senior Night against Ball State and West Virginia (Feb. 22). Fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite superheroes to celebrate Superhero Night. The Panthers welcome their "Most Valuable Professors" to Fitzgerald Field House for MVP Night.
