PITTSBURGH – Pitt track and field will get a preview of the 2018 ACC Indoor Championships site when they visit Clemson, S.C., for the Bob Pollock Invitational Friday and Saturday.

PITTSBURGH – Pitt track and field will get a preview of the 2018 ACC Indoor Championships site when they visit Clemson, S.C., for the Bob Pollock Invitational Friday and Saturday.

SCOUTING THE FIELD
- Teams competing at the meet include: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech, J.C. Smith, Louisville, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
- Friday's events will commence at 2:30 p.m. beginning with men's long jump and women's 60m hurdles preliminaries.
- Saturday's field events will start at 11 a.m. with women's weight throw, and running events will begin at noon with the women's 600m.

SNEAK PREVIEW
- Pitt will return to the Clemson University Indoor Track Feb. 22-24 for the 2018 ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
- The facility previously served as the site of the ACC Indoor Championships in 2004 and 2007.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Pitt women's 4x400m relay team of seniors Morgan Harvey, Quadaisha Newkirk, Laila Ismail and Desiree Garland set a Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS) facility record with a time of 3:41.20 Friday at the YSU College Invitational.
- As of Friday's events, the women's time was the top mark among ACC schools so far this indoor season.
- The win was one of seven on the day for the Panthers, which included the men's 4x400m relay of freshman Ade Jones-Roundtree, sophomore Danté Watson, junior Ken Brosier and freshman Lonzell Feagin (3:12.81).
- On the women's side, Ismail claimed the 400m at 55.75 and sophomore Taylor Middleton championed the long jump at 5.84m.
- The men's distance team had an impressive day with Watson winning the 800m (1:52.07), sophomore Nick Wolk winning the mile (4:12.40) and junior Ryan Hughes winning the 3000m (8:27.03).
UP NEXT
- Pitt will head to Notre Dame, Ind., for the Meyo Invitational, set for Feb. 2-3.
