PITTSBURGH – Pitt women's basketball (6-5, 0-0 ACC) will host its third opponent from the state of Pennsylvania when it takes on Bucknell (6-4, 0-0 Patriot League) Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Petersen Events Center.

LAST TIME OUT
- Junior forward Danielle Garven posted the first double-double of her Pitt career in a 59-48 loss for the Panthers against Penn State Sunday afternoon at Petersen Events Center.
- Garven had 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, tying her personal best on the boards. Junior guard Kauai Bradley drained a career-high four 3-pointers and went 3-of-3 from the free throw line to lead Pitt in scoring with 15 points.
- As a team, Pitt had the advantage in rebounding (42-38). The Lady Lions held a 17-1 differential in bench scoring. Junior guard Teniya Page had a career-high 27 points for Penn State on 10-of-18 shooting from the field, 3-of-4 from long range and 4-of-6 from the free throw line.
SCOUTING THE BISON
- Defending Patriot League champion Bucknell (6-4, 0-0) had its four-game win streak snapped by Fordham Sunday, 71-62, in Bronx, N.Y. The Bison are 3-2 when playing away from Lewisburg, Pa., this season, winning at Rider (Nov. 10), at Youngstown State (Nov. 24) and Iona (Dec. 3). Bucknell's other road loss came against Drexel (Nov. 18).
- The Bison list three double-figure scorers, led by junior guard Kyi English (12.8 ppg) and rounded out by junior forward Kaitlyn Slagus (12.6 ppg) and junior guard Kate Walker (10.4 ppg). Slagus is the team's leading rebounder with 8.7 boards per outing.
- Pitt is 1-1 all-time against the Bison, with both games played in Pittsburgh. The Panthers dropped the first meeting by one point (58-57), Nov. 20, 2001. The second meeting marked Suzie McConnell-Serio's first win as the Panthers' head coach – a 66-51 victory at Petersen Events Center Nov. 8, 2013.
