
Pitt Cross Country Teams Take 10th at ACC Championships

Wolk, Schriever Post Top Finishes for Panthers
MEN'S RESULTS | WOMEN'S RESULTS
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Pitt men's and women's cross country teams each finished 10th at the ACC Championships held Friday morning at E.P. 'Tom' Sawyer State Park.
To start the day, sophomore Nick Wolk was the Panthers' top finisher in the men's 8K, taking 42nd at 24:23.2. In the women's 6K, junior Gillian Schriever led the way for Pitt, coming in 36th at 21:14.3.
Rounding out the seven scored spots for the men were Ryan Hughes (50th, 24:29.6), Aaron Lauer (52nd, 24:40.2), Billy Caldwell (65th, 24:49.6), Matt McGoey (76th, 25:13.0), Jackson Morton (86th, 25:35.1) and Zach Lefever (25:40.3).
For the women, other scorers for Pitt included Miranda Salvo (38th, 21:18.6), Amy Kelly (44th, 21:29.9), Sam Shields (45th, 21:30.3), Makenzie Zeh (48th, 21:33.4), Kelly Hayes (62nd, 21:50.6) and Rebecca Peters (65th, 11:53.0).
The team champions from 2016 successfully defended their titles, with Syracuse winning its fifth consecutive ACC title on the men's side, and NC State taking the women's victory.
