AKRON, OHIO - Select members of the Pitt men's and women's track and field teams recorded top-finishes and set personal records at the Campbell/Wright Invitational, hosted by the University of Akron this weekend.
"This was a good meet that accomplished many of the things we were looking to do at this point in the season, which was to improve on marks for the ACC meet, move into a better position for seeding purposes, or qualify for the regional meet at the end of the month," head coach Alonzo Webb said. "This was also a confidence booster or a last opportunity for some that were making steady improvements throughout the season and needed to end their season on a positive note heading into the summer break. Most competed in a single event as a tune-up to work on certain parts of their particular events."
