Pitt Gymnastics Releases 2012 Schedule

PITTSBURGH - The 2012 Pitt gymnastics schedule has been released, as announced by Panthers' Head Coach Debbie Yohman on Thursday.
The schedule features four home meets, plus the East Atlantic Gymnastics League Championships to be held March 24 in Fitzgerald Field House. The last time Pitt hosted EAGL's was in 2004 and it was held in the Peterson Events Center. With Pitt moving into the ACC, this could be the last opportunity to host an EAGL Championship.
Pitt hosts Ohio State on Friday, Jan. 27 in a dual meet; Rutgers, William & Mary and George Washington in a quad meet on Saturday, Feb. 4; Bowling Green on Saturday, Feb. 18 and in-state foe Penn State on Sunday, March 11.
This year's travel schedule is more regional than in years past. The Panthers will travel to Maryland (Jan. 13), New Hampshire (Jan. 21), Michigan State (Feb. 11), Kentucky with Auburn (Feb. 24), George Washington (March 3) and Ball State (March 15). NC AA Regional sites for 2012 are Washington, Utah, Arkansas, Illinois, N.C. State and Auburn, which will take place on April 7. The NCAA Championships are to be held in Duluth, Ga., on April 20-22.
Fans first opportunity to watch the Panthers in action will be in their Blue-Gold Scrimmage against West Virginia on Dec. 10 at 4 p.m. at Fitzgerald Field House.
