Pitt Gymnastics Signs Haley Sedgewick To Letter Of Intent

PITTSBURGH - Haley Sedgewick of Lennon, Mich., has signed a letter of intent to compete for the Pitt gymnastics team, announced Pitt head coach Debbie Yohman on Friday.
Sedgewick will be competing this weekend at the Level 10 Junior Olympic Championships in Long Beach, Calif. Pitt coaches will be on hand to watch her compete.
Expected to graduate from Luke M. Powers Catholic High in June, Sedgewick trains at Oakland Gymnastics with Ruth Miller and Mel Foster.
In March, Sedgewick finished second in the all-around, won the floor exercise title, finished third on vault, fourth on the balance beam and 6th on the uneven bars at the Level 10 Michigan state meet. Additionally, in April, she took fourth in the all-around, third on floor, fifth on vault, eighth on bars and 11th on beam at the Level 10 Region 5 championships in Broadview Heights, Ohio.
Haley is the daughter of Tom and Mary Kay Sedgewick and will be joining the Pitt squad when she arrives on campus in August.
