Pitt Gymnastics To Hold Blue Gold Meet Friday

PITTSBURGH - The Pitt gymnastics team will host its annual Blue Gold meet Friday at 6 p.m. at Fitzgerald Field House. The intrasquad event will feature the team on all four apparatus.
The lineup for the meet will consist of the following:

The Panthers, led by 24th-year head coach Debbie Yohman, return nine gymnasts to the squad this year including Alicia Talucci (Coatesville, Pa./Bishop Shanahan), who earned EAGL Rookie of the Year honors last season. Senior all-arounder Dani Bryan (Germantown, Md./Northwest) also returns with an EAGL vault champion title on her resume.
New to the squad this year will be freshmen Alyssa Adrian (Cary, N.C./Green Hope), Meaghan Biros (Chicago, Ill./Mother McAuley), Mallory Credito (Jonestown, Pa./Lebanon Catholic) and Laura Rigney (Greenwood, Ind./Greenwood), all of which compete in the all-around.
Pitt will officially begin the season Jan. 16, 2010 with a home tri-meet against West Virginia and Kent State at 7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Field House.
