Georgetown Defeats Women's Soccer 3-0

WASHINGTON, D.C. —Georgetown scored three unanswered second half goals in defeating the Pitt women's soccer team 3-0 Friday evening at the Hoyas' Soccer Facility. Pitt dropped to 7-4-4 overall and 2-2-4 in the Big East. Georgetown improves to 11-3-2 overall and 5-2-1 in the Big East.
Georgetown's Sara Jordan scored two goals, the first coming in the 52nd minute and the second in the 67th minute. Samantha Baker scored the final tally in the 88th minute.
The contest was tied 0-0 at halftime.
Georgetown outshot Pitt 17-5. Pitt goalkeeper Alison Finch finished with five saves. Junior Liz Carroll and sophomore Katelyn Ruhe each finished with two shots apiece.
Pitt closes out its weekend with a Sunday match at Villanova. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
