Junior Jessica Moses' (North Olmstead, Ohio/Lutheran West) ace made the score 22-17 in favor of Michigan (5-0). The score was then 22-18 after the Wolverines recorded an error on Moses' next attack.
Pitt teetered back and forth the next few points but were within three after junior Kelly Campbell (Mansfield, Ohio/Mansfield/Pacific) posted a kill thanks to an assist from junior Nicole Taurence (Trenton, Mich./Trenton) for a score of 28-25.
