PITTSBURGH -
Pitt's Paul Nardozzi, Kyle Landis, and Peter Parise are representing their respective major league ball clubs and showcasing their skills in the Class A short season New York-Penn League.
Nardozzi, Pitt's all-time strikeout leader with 268, will suit up for the Oneonta Tigers, the minor league affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.
Landis captured six saves for the Panthers in 2007, placing him second on the single season list. He will offer his services to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, who are associated with the Cleveland Indians.
Parise, Pitt's all-time record holder for most career at-bats (872), hits (253) and games started (208), recently had his contract purchased by the St. Louis Cardinals and will play for their Class A affiliate, the Batavia Muckdogs.
The Panthers had a total of six players associated with the program that were either drafted or signed to professional teams. The other three were Jordan Herr, Seth Button and incoming freshman David Kaye.
