Panthers Set to Play in Inaugural Orlando Baseball Classic

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt baseball program will play in the inaugural Orlando Baseball Classic at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World Resort in February, bdG Sports announced this afternoon.
The six-team, three-day, event will be held February 26-28, 2027, at The Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The Panthers will join Indiana State, Michigan, St. John's, UCF, and West Virginia in Orlando, FL in February.
Pitt will open up the round-robin tournament with UCF on Friday night before playing Indiana State on Saturday afternoon and former Big East foe, St. John's, on Sunday morning.
"As NCAA baseball continues its impressive growth pattern, interest in early season, destination-location events have become highly sought after, and what better destination than Central Florida and the immaculate Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports," said Brooks Downing, founder and president of bdG Sports. "Fans and participants alike can enjoy premium collegiate baseball, the Florida sunshine, and of course, the largest and most visited theme park destination on earth, Walt Disney World."
Fan packages and tickets go on sale to the public beginning this Friday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. ET. General admission tickets and hotel rooms at preferred rates can be purchased separately from fan packages at www.OrlandoBaseballClassic.com.

Friday, Feb. 26
St. John's vs. Michigan – 11 a.m.
Indiana State vs. West Virginia – 3 p.m.
UCF vs. Pitt – 7 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 27
West Virginia vs. St. John's – 11 a.m.
Pitt vs. Indiana State – 3 p.m.
Michigan vs. UCF – 7 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 28
St. John's vs. Pitt – 11 a.m.
West Virginia vs. Michigan – 3 p.m.
UCF vs. Indiana State – 7 p.m.
