
PITT GYMNASTS ARLOTTA AND BRYAN EARN LEAGUE HONORS THIS WEEK

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Pitt senior Andrea Arlotta and freshman Dani Bryan earned EAGL conference honors this week. Arlotta was named Gymnast of the Week for the second time this season, and Bryan was named the league's Specialist of the Week. This is the third EAGL honor for Arlotta and first for Bryan this year.
Arlotta (Cincinnati, Ohio/Northwest) won the floor exercise last weekend for the fifth time this season, scoring a 9.825. She set a career-high 39.275 in the all-around for second place and is now fifth in the league in both events based on her regional-qualifying score (RQS). Arlotta also led the Panthers on the uneven bars with a 9.850 for fourth place. She was named co-Gymnast of the Week on February 6 and Specialist of the Week on January 30.
Bryan (Germantown, Md./Northwest) won the vault competition for the third time this season with a career-high 9.925. She also earned her first floor exercise title with a 9.825. With an RQS of 9.845, she leads the league on the vault and has also earned the highest individual score as of last weekend.
Pitt (8-7, 3-1 EAGL) has an RQS of 192.760 for fifth-place in the league. The Panthers are coming off a big weekend at home where they scored a season-high 194.275. They currently lead the league on the uneven bars and are ranked in the nation's top 25 on that event. Pitt will head to No. 11 Arkansas this weekend for a quad meet with the Lady Razorbacks, No. 23 West Virginia and New Hampshire.
