Softball Sets For Two Camps This Summer

PITTSBURGH--After concluding what was undeniably its best season ever, the University of Pittsburgh softball team will host two camps this summer at Trees Field. The first will be a Defensive Camp on June 26-27, prior to an Offensive Camp held on June 28-29. All kids ages 10 through their senior year in high school are eligible to participate.

Both camps will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a 90-minute lunch break. Members of Pitt's staff and student-athletes will be on hand for all instruction. For more information or to register, please click here.

Pitt boasted a 32-27 overall record this past season. During the year, the Panthers set program marks in wins (32), hits (382), batting average (.259), RBIs (208), triples (14), runs (235), stolen bases (85), walks (157), conference wins (10) and consecutive road wins (six).

Junior Joey Scarf (Humble, Texas/Humble) and sophomore Jessica Dignon (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) earned All-Conference honors and were two of five Panthers to set individual records this past season.
