Two Garner All-Big East Honors

Earning her first post-season accolade, Scarf (Humble, Texas/Humble) became the second-ever member of the Pitt softball team to be selected to the All-Conference first team, as teammate Francesca DiMaria (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) earned the first honor in 2003.
Scarf led the Panthers with a .403 batting average in Big East action and was a perfect 6-6 in stolen bases. During the year, Scarf held a .981 fielding percentage from left field and posted a team-leading 13 doubles, tying the school single-season record.
Dignon (
Dignon recorded a .353 batting average and led the team with 65 assists, playing third base in all 22 conference games. On the season, Dignon broke several school records, including a team leading 61 hits.
