Live Scoring Available For Pitt Softball

PITTSBURGH--The University of Pittsburgh softball team will now have live scoring available through College Sports TV for the remainder of the home schedule at www.pittsburghpanthers.com. Fans can follow the game via Gametracker, as Pitt hosts Buffalo on Wednesday, March 29 in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. at Trees Field.

Game one of the Pitt-Buffalo doubleheader game will mark the second time the Panthers and Bulls have faced one another. The last time the two teams squared off was March 12, 2005 when Pitt came out on top with a 1-0 win. Christa Hunter earned the shutout and shortstop Sheena Hellon homered for the game's only run. Pitt is 11-26 all-time against the Mid-American Conference.

The Panthers opened conference play this past weekend, coming out with a 3-1 record. Pitt spilt a doubleheader with St. John's on Saturday and then swept Seton Hall in a doubleheader on Sunday to move into a three-way tie with Providence and Syracuse for second place in the Big East. The Panthers will resume conference action on April 1st when they head to Rutgers for a two-game match-up.
