Bianchini comes to Pittsburgh from a manager and head fitness trainer position at It Figures in Pottstown. While there, she was in charge of all operations of the women?s fitness facility, including marketing and sales to scheduling and hiring. Prior to that, Bianchini coached at Penn State softball camps during the summers. She coached two teams of 15 girls each year and specifically worked with outfielders on various fielding and throwing techniques. She specialized in teaching slap and drag hitting techniques as well for players ranging from ages 8-17.
Proceeding her coaching, Bianchini worked as a sports performance trainer for aspiring Championships in King of Prussia. She coached and instructed elite athletes in all aspects of sports performance, such as power development, strength training, nutrition, and conditioning. She also implemented sport specific programs for all athletes ages, 8-23, and fully developed an all-female sport performance program for a group of 12 girls.
Bianchini played at Penn State from 1998-2003, where she earned her B.S. in kinesiology with an exercise science emphasis. While at Penn State, she earned many awards and honors for her play on the field. She was team captain in 2002, and 2003, received first team All-Big Ten Conference honors in 2002; academic All-Big Ten Conference plaudits in 2000, and 2003, and broke Penn State career records for stolen bases, hits, runs scored, and games played in 2003.
"I am ecstatic about the opportuniy to coach and be a part of the tremendous tradition here at the University of Pittsburgh," Bianchini said. "I look forward to working with this elite coaching staff while contributing my experience and energy to the Panther program."
