Pittsburgh Gymnasts Conclude Season At NCAA Regional Championships

ANN ARBOR, Mich.-Four Pittsburgh gymnasts qualified and competed at the NCAA Regional Championships this past weekend and concluded their 2000-01 seasons. Juniors Raya Mullin (Runnemede, N.J./Triton) and Rebecca Singleton (Poland, Ohio/Boardman) and sophomores Jennifer Easter (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) and Nathalie Sulpher (Ottawa, Canada/Franco-Quest) all finished with strong efforts at the competitive championships.
Singleton was the top Panther finisher as she tied for 13th on the balance beam, scoring a 9.775.
With a score of 9.775 on bars, Mullin finished in a tie for 16th with four other competitors.
Easter scored a 9.725 on floor exercise to earn her a tie for 19th place.
Sulpher tied for 25th place as she totaled a 9.625 on vault.
Michigan won the regional with a team score of 197.225, edging out Stanford, which totaled 196.725.
