Panther Gymnasts Fall To Kent State 194.400-193.350

PITTSBURGH--The Pittsburgh gymnastics team dropped its regular season finale on Saturday night, falling to Kent State 194.400-193.350 in Fitzgerald Field House. With the setback, the Panthers are now 2-11 overall and 0-3 in the EAGL.
Junior Raya Mullin (Runnemede, N.J./Triton) paced the Panthers on the night, finishing with one first-place award and another tie for top honors. On balance beam, Mullin turned in a personal-best score of 9.825 to tie for first with Golden Flash Kelly Lovejoy. Mullin took sole possession of first place on bars, notching a meet-best 9.850.
Sophomore Jennifer Easter (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) also tallied a first-place finish for Pittsburgh. Easter recorded an impressive 9.875 score on floor exercise, while she also tied for fourth on vault with a personal-best score of 9.700.
Freshman Erika Goldberg (Vorhees, N.J./Eastern) finished with a personal-high score of 9.600 on vault for the Panthers.
The Panthers will now gear up for the EAGL Championships, which are next Saturday, March 24. The conference championships are being held at the University of North Carolina.
