2023 Outdoor: Had a breakthrough season while competing in five meets... placed fourth in both shot put and high jump at the Carnegie Mellon Last Chance Meet with tallies of 11.81m and 1.65m, respectively... broke personal records in the 100m hurdles (16.16) and heptathlon (4666) during the Virginia Challenge.
2022-23 Indoor: Competed in five indoor meets for the Panthers... Best finish of the indoor campaign came at the YSU Indoor Track and Field Icebreaker where she placed ninth in high jump at 1.60m.
2021-2022 Indoor: Did not compete in any meets.
2021 Outdoor: Did not compete in any meets.
2020-21 Indoor: Did not compete in any meets.
High School: Was a member of the track and field team at Elk County Catholic high school for head coach Weej Fernan... earned the 2019 PIAA AA high jump state championship... was the 2018 and 2019 District AA high jump champion... owns the District 9 high jump record, clearing a height of 5'6.00"... holds the school record in the high jump, clearing a heaight of 5'7.75"... also played volleyball and basketball... earned All-State recognition in volleyball and basketball in 2019 and 2020... holds the volleyball school record with 1,414 kills... netted over 1,000 career points on the basketball court.
Personal: Born March 11, 2002... daughter of Craig and Julie Newton... has two sisters, Tori and Payton and one brother, Ryan... her favorite athlete is Michael Jordan... lists her favorite TV show as Criminal Minds... enjoys listening to all types of music... majoring in rehabilitation sciences at Pitt.
