Griffin Joiner was named the assistant coach of the University of Pittsburgh softball program in August of 2017.

- Named assistant coach of the University of Pittsburgh softball program August 22, 2017.
- Helped coach the program to its first ACC Coastal Division Championship.
- Worked primarily with pitchers and catchers.
- Coached the Panthers to a second place finish in the ACC in home runs (54) and third in both RBIs (211) and runs (258).
- Guided pitchers Kayla Harris and Sarah Dawson to ACC All-Tournament Team honors.
- Coached pitcher Kayla Harris to NFCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team and All-ACC Second Team honors.
- Guided catcher Giorgiana Zeremenko to NCFA All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team and All-ACC First Team honors.
- Coached senior Giorgiana Zeremenko to 15 home runs on the season, the second most in the ACC and second most in a season in program history.
- Guided senior Kayla Harris to 16 wins and six shutouts on the season, the third most single-season wins and shutouts in program history.
- Coached junior Sarah Dawson to 15 wins on the season, including a complete game shutout in the ACC tournament semifinals.
Univeristy of Kentucky | Graduate Assistant Coach | 2016-2017
- Aided the 2017 Wildcats to its fifth Super Regional appearance in the last seven years. Kentucky finished 39-19 overall and 12-12 in SEC play, while concluding the season ranked No. 17 in the nation.
- Helped Kentucky to a 46-14 overall record and a 17-7 SEC mark in 2016. The Team finished ranked as No. 13/11 in the nation and bowed out of the NCAA tournament in the Lexington Regional Final. The Wildcats also finished second in the SEC.
National Pro FastPitch | Akron Racers | 2015-17
- Drafted to the Akron Racers in 2015 as the 19th overall pick in the fourth round.
- Was selected to the 2016 All-NPF Team as the top catcher in the league after throwing out a league-best 13 baserunners.
Playing Career | University of Kentucky | 2012-2015
- Led the team sophomore year with a .578 sluggling percentage and ranked second in hits (58), home runs (10) and RBI (41).
- Set Kentucky’s single season record for games played (69) in 2014.
- Led team to the Women’s College World Series in 2014.
- Finished career with 35 home runs which is tied for second most in program history
- Ranks top ten at Kentucky in career games played, hits, home runs, RBI, batting average, walks, at-bats, slugging percentage, total bases, fielding percentage and putouts.
Education
- Graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kentucky.
- Earned her Master’s Degree in 2017 in Sport Leadership, also from the University of Kentucky.

- A native of Hopkinsville, Ky., Joiner currently resides in Pittsburgh.
