2019: Played in two games (UCF and Delaware).
2018: Transferred to the University of Pittsburgh in August 2018…prior to his Pitt arrival, spent the summer at the University of Michigan as a graduate transfer following three seasons at the University of Illinois…despite his late arrival, seized the role of primary reserve at quarterback behind Kenny Pickett…played in three games (Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and Miami)…completed 1-of-3 passes for one yard on the season…lone completion came against Miami.
PRIOR TO PITT: Spent the 2015-17 seasons at Illinois…two-time Academic All-Big Ten Conference…played in 12 total games, starting nine contests for the Illini…completed 48% of his passes (132 of 275) for 1,743 yards with 11 touchdowns and 15 interceptions over two active seasons…as a redshirt sophomore in 2017, played in seven games, starting five…completed 94-of-181 passes for 1,273 yards and seven touchdowns with 10 interceptions...as a redshirt freshman in 2016, played in five games and started four contests...completed 38-of-94 passes for 470 yards with four TDs and five INTs...when he made his first collegiate start (at Michigan, Oct. 22, 2016), he became part of the first-ever father-son duo to start at quarterback for Illinois (father, Jeff Sr., was an All-Big Ten QB for the Illini in 1988 and 1989)…redshirted in 2015.

PERSONAL: Jeff George Jr., born 4/19/96, is the son of Jeff Sr. and Teresa George...father was a standout quarterback at Illinois (1988-89) before becoming the No. 1 overall pick of the 1990 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts…Jeff Sr. played 12 NFL seasons with five different teams...Jeff Jr. graduated from Illinois in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in business…pursuing graduate studies in health and physical activity in Pitt’s School of Education.
