 Darkness blanketed the North Shore just before midnight, but Pitt freshman Patrick Amara and teammates Isaac Bennett and Kevin Weatherspoon walked the streets, looking to spread some light. Their quest: Find the homeless -- under bridges, in the shadow of Heinz Field, wherever they live -- and bring them food, clothing and sneakers.
