PITTSBURGH — The bracket for the 2026 ACC Baseball Championship was released on Saturday evening following the conclusion of regular season play. The 14-seeded Panthers will play the 11-seeded Louisville Cardinals on Tuesday, May 19 at 9 PM at Truist Field in Charlotte, NC.
For the second-consecutive year, the Panthers and Cardinals will meet in the first round of the ACC Baseball Championship. Pitt bested Louisville in last year's tournament with a thrilling 13-11 victory. Current San Diego Padres prospect, Luke Cantwell, hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning as advanced Pitt to the second round.
The Panthers earned a road series win at Louisville earlier this season.
All 16 ACC teams will compete in a single-elimination championship. The top four seeds are based on the performance in the regular season and receive a double-bye into the quarterfinal round, which is scheduled to be held on Thursday and Friday, May 22-23. North Carolina (2), Florida State (3) and Boston College (4) join Georgia Tech with double byes.
Seeds five through eight will earn a bye into the second round on Wednesday, May 20. Seeds 9-16 will begin play with four first-round games on Tuesday, May 19.
