Panthers Welcome James Madison to Highmark Stadium Tuesday

PITTSBURGH – Pitt women's lacrosse returns home to Highmark Stadium Tuesday for a non-conference matchup against James Madison. First draw is set for 1 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
Pitt fell to Syracuse 16-7 Saturday at the JMA Wireless Dome. Kaitlyn Giandonato led the Panthers with three goals and Avery Moon added a goal and three assists. Molly Cain made five saves in net.
SCOUTING JMU
The Dukes enter Tuesday at 6-5 overall and 2-1 in the American Conference, coming off a 16-10 win over Temple on Saturday.
PANTHERS TO WATCH
Giandonato paces Pitt with 33 goals and 41 total points on the year. Moon leads the team in assists with 21 and ranks second in points with 44. Aidan Carr leads the ACC in draw controls per game and enters Tuesday with 95 on the season, setting a new Pitt single-season record. Lainey McGonagle owns the program's single-season record for caused turnovers with 26.
MATCHUP HISTORY
Tuesday marks the first meeting between Pitt and James Madison in program history. Head Coach Emily Boissonneault spent four seasons on the JMU staff from 2016-19, helping guide the Dukes to three CAA Conference Championships and the 2018 National Championship.
