Pitt Travels to Syracuse for Ranked ACC Matchup

PITTSBURGH – No. 23 Pitt women's lacrosse heads to Syracuse for an ACC road matchup Saturday morning. First draw against the No. 8 Orange is set for 10 a.m. at JMA Wireless Dome.
LAST TIME OUT
Pitt picked up a 16-5 win over Youngstown State Tuesday at Highmark Stadium. Kaitlyn Giandonato's six goals tied the program's single-game record and moved her career total to 66, third all-time in program history. Freshman Emily Clemens finished with a career-high five assists, also tying the single-game record. Aidan Carr won 16 of 22 draw controls in the victory.
SCOUTING SYRACUSE
The Orange enter Saturday winners of eight straight, including ranked wins over then-No. 13 Loyola, No. 4 Northwestern, No. 7 Yale and No. 19 Virginia. Syracuse has played the nation's top strength of schedule on its way to an 8-3 record and 4-2 mark in ACC play.
PANTHERS TO WATCH
Avery Moon paces Pitt with 22 goals and leads the program with 18 assists this season.
Kaitlyn Giandonato has scored in four straight games, totaling 14 goals in that span, and leads the team with 30 goals on the year.
Aidan Carr set a new Pitt single-season draw controls record with her ninth win against Youngstown State Tuesday, pushing her season total to 86 and surpassing her own mark of 85 set in 2025. She has won 139 draws in 11 games this season.

Pitt is 0-4 all-time against Syracuse, most recently falling 11-17 last season at Highmark Stadium.
