Pitt Hosts No.9 Clemson on Senior Day

PITTSBURGH – No. 24 Pitt women's lacrosse returns home to Highmark Stadium on Saturday to host No. 9 Clemson for Senior Day. First draw is set for 1 p.m. with the Senior Day ceremony beginning at 11:30 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT
Pitt fell to No. 16 Boston College 12-8 in Chestnut Hill on Saturday. Kaitlyn Giandonato and Avery Moon each recorded hat tricks to lead the Panther attack, while goalie Molly Cain made 11 saves in the loss.
SCOUTING CLEMSON
The Tigers enter Saturday's contest 2-3 in ACC play and have won three straight, including a 12-10 ACC victory over No. 21 Virginia last Saturday and a 16-8 non-conference win over Mercer on Tuesday.
PANTHERS TO WATCH
Moon enters Saturday on a 25-game consecutive point streak, the longest active mark in the program's history. The junior attacker leads Pitt with 20 goals and 18 assists for 38 points on the season. Giandonato also has 20 goals to share the team lead, and Paige Telatovich has added 17 goals and four assists. Aidan Carr leads the draw circle with 73 draw controls on the year.
MATCHUP HISTORY
Clemson leads the all-time series 4-0. In their last meeting, the Tigers took a 14-6 decision on their home field. Saturday will mark the first time both programs are ranked when they meet.
