PITTSBURGH—NFL officials released the list of 319 prospects invited to the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday. Two former Pitt standouts, linebacker Kyle Louis and running back Desmond Reid, will represent the Panthers in Indianapolis.
The annual combine will be held Feb. 23 through March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium, and coverage will air on NFL Network and stream on NFL+.
Louis Building off Senior Bowl
Louis earned his invitation following a standout week at the Senior Bowl. A redshirt junior, he started all 11 games he appeared in at linebacker in 2025. He compiled 81 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
A native of East Orange, N.J., Louis recorded double-digit tackles in four contests and was twice named ACC Linebacker of the Week. His performance garnered significant postseason recognition, including second-team All-ACC honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference, first-team All-ACC accolades from the Associated Press and second-team All-America distinction from Phil Steele.
Louis will participate in on-field workouts with linebackers on Feb. 26.
Reid Returns to the Spotlight
Reid's invitation highlights the dynamic ability that made him one of the nation's most explosive offensive players. An All-American in 2024, Reid battled injuries last fall but still demonstrated his versatility in seven games, rushing 60 times for 278 yards and two touchdowns while adding 23 receptions for 317 yards and two scores.
Over his two seasons at Pitt, he proved to be a matchup problem both in the backfield and in the passing game, and he'll have the opportunity to display his speed and skillset during running back workouts on Feb. 28.
Draft Returns to Pittsburgh
The 2026 NFL Draft will carry special significance for Pitt and the city of Pittsburgh. The 91st draft in league history is scheduled for April 23-25 on the North Shore, including Acrisure Stadium and Point State Park. It will mark the first time since 1948 that the draft has been held in Pittsburgh.
For Louis and Reid, the path to the Draft stage now runs through Indianapolis, where both will look to elevate their stock and continue Pitt's tradition of producing NFL talent.
