Helton Named to D1 Softball D100 Freshman Watch List

PITTSBURGH – Freshman infielder Gracie Helton has been named to the D1 Softball D100 Freshman Watch List, an annual preseason recognition highlighting 100 true freshman who are expected to make an immediate impact.
A graduate of Gordon Lee High School in Chickamauga, Georgia, Helton put together a standout senior season, batting .512 with a .611 on-base percentage and a 1.274 slugging percentage. She totaled 43 hits, 17 home runs, and 57 RBI while leading her team to the Class A State Championship.
Helton was named the Georgia Class A Player of the Year and Region Player of the Year as a senior and earned all-state and all-region honors in each of her four years of high school. She was also a three-time Walker County Player of the Year and the recipient of the 2024 Best of Preps Buck Johnson Award for Most Outstanding Achievement in Softball. Additionally, she was named MVP of the TN/GA All-Star Game and was a multi-sport athlete, also competing in basketball.
The D100 Freshman Watch List is compiled by D1Softball and lists players alphabetically by team, recognizing incoming freshmen poised to make an immediate impact during the upcoming season.
