PITTSBURGH – Redshirt-junior guard Amiya Jenkins will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign after suffering a season-ending knee injury, as announced by head coach Tory Verdi, Tuesday afternoon.
"We're really hurting for Amiya," said Verdi. "She's put a lot in of work to get to this point and it's tough because we know how much this game means to her. We are thinking of her and will be there for her throughout recovery."
Jenkins sustained the season-ending injury in last week's game against Virginia in Charlottesville. The Lexington, Ky. native worked her way back from a previous injury to average 3.9 points and 1.6 rebounds while appearing in 19 games with four starts for the Panthers.
