Pitt Set To Host Clemson Saturday For ACC Home Opener

Pitt and Clemson play for the 17th time Saturday as the two teams meet for ACC play inside the Petersen Events Center. The game will be televised on The CW with tip-off scheduled for noon.

Tom Werme (play-by-play) and Seth Davis (analysis) will be on the call on The CW.

The game will also be broadcast on the Panthers Radio Network (flagship 93.7 The Fan) with Bill Hillgrove (play-by-play) and Curtis Aiken (analysis) providing the commentary.

Clemson holds a 13-3 advantage in the all-time series, including 13 straight victories. It is Pitt's longest active losing streak against any program.

Clemson is one of eight teams in the ACC to open conference play at 1-0 following their 64-61 win at Syracuse Wednesday. They are one of three teams to open ACC play with a road victory. Pitt dropped its ACC opener to Miami 76-69.

Pitt is 5-7 all-time in ACC home openers and defeated Cal a year ago, 86-74.

Along with the 13-3 record against Pitt, Clemson is 7-1 inside the Petersen Events Center. The Panthers' lone win was the first meeting inside PEC, a 76-43 blowout in January of 2014.

In the last four years, Pitt has started 2-0 in ACC play twice and 0-2 in league action twice. Pitt has not begun 1-1 since the 2020-21 campaign.
