
Bre Kelley Earns ACC Defensive Player of the Week Honors

PITTSBURGH – Bre Kelley was awarded her first ACC Defensive Player of the Week honor this season, announced Monday by the conference office. She was instrumental in Pitt's three wins last week, including a 3-0 sweep over No. 7 Arizona State.
Kelley put up huge defensive numbers, averaging 2.10 blocks per set and 1.90 kills per set while hitting .429. She registered a match-high seven blocks in the 3-0 sweep over No. 7 Arizona State and added four kills. Kelley led Pitt to another sweep over Pepperdine and contributed six kills and a match-high five blocks while hitting .417. She concluded the weekend recording a season best nine blocks and nine kills in the win over Jacksonville on a .615 clip.
The No. 7 Panthers head to Fort Worth, Texas to play No. 3 Kentucky in a top 10 matchup on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. ET. The 2024 NCAA Regional Final rematch can be streamed on ESPN.
