
Caleb Junko Named to Ray Guy Award Watch List

PITTSBURGH – Pitt redshirt senior punter Caleb Junko has been named to the Ray Guy Award Watch List.
The Ray Guy Award is given annually to the nation's best FBS punter. Junko has earned this honor in each of the last two seasons.
Caleb Junko has served as the primary punter for the Panthers over the last two and a half seasons. The Akron, OH native averaged 45.3 yards on his four punts, with a long of 53 yards, in Pitt's week one win over Duquesne. He currently ranks fourth in the ACC in punting average (45.3).
Junko is coming off his best season as a Panther in 2024, averaging 43.7 yards on 58 punts last year. He placed 16 punts inside the 20-yard line while 14 of them resulted in fair catches. Junko was named to the Ray Guy Award "Ray's 8" for his performance against California (Oct. 12) where he averaged a season-best 50.1 yards per punt against the Golden Bears.
Junko and Panthers return to Acrisure Stadium this Saturday, September 6th when they take on the Central Michigan Chippewas at noon. The game will be televised on ESPNU can also be heard on 93.7 The Fan.
