
Pitt Wrestling Releases 2025-26 Schedule

PITTSBURGH – Pitt wrestling head coach Keith Gavin announced the schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season Wednesday afternoon. The Panthers will have another exciting home schedule in their final season at the Fitzgerald Field House, with NC State, Virginia Tech and West Virginia all making the trip to Pittsburgh this season.
The Panthers open the season Nov. 1 on the road with a dual at Navy and will also compete at the Navy Classic the next day, Nov. 2. Pitt's November slate features just one home dual against Princeton (Nov. 14) and a high-profile non-conference dual against Iowa in Iowa City (Nov. 21).
In December, the Panthers will travel to Lehigh (Dec. 5) and Maryland (Dec. 13) and will host Bucknell (Dec. 7) and Edinboro (Dec. 20) before closing out the calendar year at the Midlands Championship (Dec. 29-30).
Pitt begins the new year with back-to-back home matches, beginning with an ACC matchup against Virginia Tech (Jan. 9) and hosting the Backyard Brawl with West Virginia (Jan. 16).
The Panthers will be on the road for conference matchups at Duke (Jan. 18), North Carolina (Jan. 30), and Stanford (Feb. 13/14). They will host two home matches in February: NC State (Feb. 6) and Virginia (Feb. 20)
Information regarding tickets for the 2025-26 season will be announced at a later date
2025-26 ROSTER
The Panthers return two of their three ACC champions from last season in Dayton Pitzer (285) and All-American Mac Stout (197). Pitzer (No. 7) and Stout (No. 5) are currently ranked in the top 10 of their respective weight classes in the latest edition of InterMat preseason rankings (as of Sept. 5).
Pitt also returns six of their eight NCAA qualifiers and added a talented freshman class that was nationally ranked No. 11 by MatScouts.
